Learning Outcome:                         By the end of this lesson pupils will be able to:
1.       Read and understand the simple paragraph at the text book page 117 a poem about weather.
2.       Read and pronounce the correct intonation at the simple paragraph page 117.
3.       Write simple sentence using the word cues of “What colours of a rainbow?”

Previous Knowledge:                     Pupils know about weather.

1.       Teacher asks the pupils to look out of the window
2.       Teacher asks them to describe the kind weather they can see.
3.       Teacher asks the pupils to talk about the different kind of weather in Malaysia. Example Hot and sunny.
4.       Teacher writes words at the blackboard. Sunny, Hot, Cloudy, Rainy and Windy.
5.       Teacher stress on the environmental awareness as the moral value.

Reading
1.       Teacher reads a shorts verse from the textbook page 117 and asks the pupils to listen.
2.       Teacher asks the pupils to read the short versa aloud.
3.       Teacher asks the pupils to look at the concept page.
4.       Teacher discusses the concept page with the pupils.

Practise and development

Reading
1.       Teacher asks the pupils to read the versa again with correct intonation and stress.
2.       Teacher discusses the first stanza in the verse. Teacher talks about what happen after the storm and relate the discussion to the description in the stanza.
3.       Teacher discusses the second stanza and talks about what would happen after rains and relate it to the description in the stanza.

1.       Teacher asks the pupils to stay in their group.
2.       Teacher gives A4 paper and asks the pupils to answer the question “What are the colours of a rainbow?”
3.       Teacher elicits the pupils answer and gives the correct.
4.       Teacher asks the pupils to draw a rainbow at E2 book and colour it.
